Title: Starlink Gen2 move terminal ID to new hardware?
Post by: slahm on Nov 16, 2025, 06:49 AM
I have a Starlink Gen2 that Starlink has kindly left on my account as a spare dish, it is fully active on an account with another dish as a backup, so free basically.  But I have recently damaged the antenna, and it only works occasionally.  It fell 10 meters and lost some chips, but I can get it working, it just reboots lots.

Can I move the information from this gen2 to another gen2 to save my free backup dish, or is that possible?

Where would I get started?  What would I need to learn.  I am comfortable doing your 12V mods, and am determined to do it if this is possible.  I have a donor gen2 antenna I can use.

Thanks!

Hello. Here is the complete manual: https://olegkutkov.me/2025/05/22/how-to-physically-transfer-starlink-account-from-one-terminal-to-another/
You can move a single chip to transfer account from one dish to another.
