Title: Gen 2 Router J3 Pinouts
Post by: tb1981 on Jul 06, 2025, 12:14 AM
Hi all,

Hope you are all well.

We had an issue with our gen 2 router power pcb burning out. We managed to connect the router pcb to external power supplies, and all was working well. However connector J3 has become detached from the router pcb. I have managed to find somewhere to connect up a jumper wire for all the pins with the exception of pin 6. There is no piece of track left for me to get a contact with a multimeter.

Would anyone be able to help with where I could solder a wire so I can get the router up and running again? This is only a temporary solution until we get a new system delivered. Currently offshore in the south Atlantic so it may take some time for the new system to arrive. This is our only means of internet, so really need to get it up and running again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello. Here is the pinout of the connector.

Thanks for that Oleg. I managed to get the jumper wires soldered onto components on the board. Only issue I have now is my Starlink is showing as offline, and I have no 48V going to the dish. The mosfet output voltage is constantly switching on and off with the dish connected. Getting the 2.7V stand by voltage with the dish disconnected.

Have you checked the fuse (white smd over the MOSFET)?
