Thanks for the very useful guide!

Will this enable free premium connectivity or just internet for Spotify and other services?

You might have the free premium connectivity if your Tesla account is in an unsupported (gray market) region. You can switch your account using Tesla support.
Otherwise, this will give you only Standard connectivity.

Hi.

What about roaming, when traveling between countries?

How do you enable that?

It depends only on your custom SIM service plan.

That should not be a problem, but let us think of a special traveling case.

If you travel from norway to germany by ferry you are adviced to have roaming of because
on the ferry they have a special maritime/sattelite net which is very very expensiv.

As long as the car sleeps an the sim is not active it would not be a problem, but if it
connects to it you are getting a bill afterwards you won't like

So you are adviced to have roaming off during ferry time on that travel

Thank you Oleg for this priceless guide. I have a question about the TELEMATICS CONTROL UNIT on US imported model Y. Do you think is a good idea to replace the US with European one for better CELL connection before inserting the physical SIM or it will be west of money? They are different TCU part numbers for US and  EU Teslas. Thank you once again.

Hello. Yes, it's better to replace the TCU with a European model. US TCU is 5G and optimized for different LTE bands.
