I am in planning mode to convert Gen2 to a flat mount. Exploring options best way to power the dish. The 12v direct to the board with a capacitor is what caught my eye and brought me to the forum.
The down side of operating on 12v is now you have two cables attached to the dish.
So with that, my LFP battery is nominal 48v. But the range is 55.3v to 41.6v. Can the dish operate properly using this voltage range through POE, or would the best solution be to use a buck/boost 48v regulated supply?
Hello!
The minimum voltage of the dish is 38V, so it should work fine with 41V.
The absolute maximum is 70V.

I understand the 38–70V range, but with my LFP battery swinging from ~55V down to ~41V, do you think it's safe to run the dish directly long-term, or would a regulated 48V supply still be the better choice for stability and reliability?
